Generally Hyperlipidaemia is treated with the help of drugs like
Statins, fibrates, nicotinic acid and resins. But the aforesaid
drugs have several side / adverse drug effects such as nausea, vomiting,
heart burn, constipation, steatorrhoea, myalgia, muscle weakness,
liver damage (as they cause irreversible rise in hepatic aminotransferase
levels), allergic reactions, etc.
Strategic blend of herbs in LIPUS® has anti-inflammatory,
antioxidant, anxiolytic, cholesterol-lowering, cardiotonic and cardioprotective
effects with clinically proven safety and efficacy in lowering/
reversing hyperlipidemia. LIPUS improves the blood lipid
profile and may delay the onset/progression to heart attack and
can be used as a preventive dietary supplement in people with moderate
hyperlipidemia.
INTENDED POPULATION
LIPUS® works best for adult men and women with moderate
hyperlipidemia (moderately elevated cholesterol and lipids), and
maybe a useful preventive care for people with a high risk for vascular
diseases including heart attack and stroke.
USAGE
750 mgs, 2-3 capsules daily.
SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE IN SUPPORT OF LIPUS®
A 12-week open-label randomized phase II clinical study evaluated
the efficacy of two doses (2 or 3 capsules) of LIPUS®
in patients with moderate hyperlipidemia (manuscript sent for publication).
Both groups showed an improvement in blood cholesterol and lipids
(approx. 30% lower LDL, VLDL, triglycerides and total cholesterol)
as early as 4 weeks. High dose was more effective. There was also
a decrease in C-reactive protein, a marker for progression to myocardial
infarction (heart attack). There were no side effects or adverse
reactions reported during the study.
