As Effective as NSAIDs & significantly more tolerable

Inflammatory conditions occur in several common disorders including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, lumbago, etc… Selective COX2 inhibitory activity has come under a cloud due the recent controversy regarding Bextra, Celebrex and Vioxx. Natural agents containing more than one anti-inflammatory compounds are expected to act by multiple mechanisms. The commonest adverse effects of COX inhibitors (particularly COX1 inhibitors like Aspirin) are gastric irritation effects and if overused, gastric ulcerations. Due to multiple mechanisms of the multiple phyto-compounds, lower doses may be acting synergistically in herbs. Hence the value of newer anti-inflammatory herbs that have been proven safe and active.

Lanciflam is a research product from Exotic Naturals. Lanciflam is the extract derived from medicinal plant mainly growing in North India. Lanciflam demonstrated significant anti-inflammatory activity at the dose of 200mg/kg body weight against carrageen induced paw oedema in albino rats. In addition, Lanciflam did not induced ulcers at therapeutic doses.

Dosage / Suggested Use
As a dietary supplement take 1 capsules 3 times a day.

PHARMACOLOGICAL EFFECTS OF LANCIFLAM

Model Dose Results
Antiinflammatory activity in Carageenan induced hind paw oedema in albino rats Lanciflam 200 mg/kg bw Lanciflam 200mg/kg produced anti-inflammatory activity statistically equivalent to that of Diclofenac Sod. 4.5 mg/kg without causing gastritis.
1, 1-diphyenyl-picryl hydrazyl (DPPH) Antioxidant assay   The anti oxidant activity of Lanciflam is comparable with that of standard, Curcumin used in the study
Antiinflammatory activity in Carageenan induced hind paw oedema in albino rats Lanciflam (fraction obtained by successive fractionation) 100 mg/kg b.w & Ibuprofen (40 mg/kg b.w) used as standard Lanciflam showed 76.87% and 86.60 % reduction in paw edema at 2hr and 4th hr which is significant when compared to standard drug Ibuprofen 92.68% and 73.30% at 2nd and 4th hr. Lanciflam has long term effect as it is showing maximum reduction at 4th hr which is better than Ibuprofen.
