Powerful Antioxidant
Revitalize the human body
Antioxidant means "against oxidation", also known as free
radical scavengers. Free radicals react with certain chemicals in
the body and in the process, interfere with the cells ability to
function normally. In fact, free radicals are predicted to be the
major cause for more than fifty different health conditions, including
the aging process, atherosclerosis and general degradation of health.
Reducing exposure to free radicals and increasing intake of antioxidants
has the potential to reduce the risk of free radical related health
problems.
Antioxidants work in several ways: they may reduce the energy of
the free radical, stop the free radical from forming in the first
place, or interrupt an oxidizing chain reaction to minimize the
damage caused by free radicals.
ENTOX an antioxidant formula with its vital ingredients well documented
in ancient Ayurvedic system of medicine, which are scientifically
proven for their powerful antioxidant and adaptogenic properties.
This synergistic combination of herbs acts to revitalize the human
body, rewind the aging process, promote health and longevity, increase
defense against disease, and rejuvenate the body in debilitated
conditions.
Dosage / Suggested Use: As a dietary supplement take 1 capsule
twice a day.
PHARMACOLOGICAL EFFECTS OF ENTOX
| Activity |
Model |
Results |
| Anti-oxidant
activity |
By
using DPPH free radical scavenging activity |
ENTOX
showed IC50 value of 8.2 µgm/ml while the ascorbic
acid standard showed IC50 value of 47 µgm/ml. |
| Hepatoprotective
activity |
Activity
of ENTOX evaluated against Carbon tetrachloride induced
hepatic injury in mice. |
ENTOX
showed dose depended increase in activity. At 750 mg/kg
ENTOX exerts marked hepatoprotective activity and the
possible mechanism of its hepatoprotective effect might
be due to its antioxidant effect. |
Anti-inflammatory
Activity
|
Carrageenan-induced
rat paw edema |
The
edema volume inhibition at dose of 300mg/kg and 600mg/kg
is 51.61% and 54.83% indicating a dose dependent anti-inflammatory
activity of ENTOX. |
| Cotton
pellet granuloma subacute model in rats |
ENTOX
showed dose dependent reduction in granular tissue. At
a dose of 300mg/kg and 600mg/kg, it showed 27.92% and
53.17% inhibition. The activity was comparable to that
of standard drug Indomethacin (5mg/kg ) 56.08%. |
